it doesn’t get much better than this

Yesterday was one of those prize spring days that just turn out perfect. Sun. 25C. Playground. Smiles. Trees blooming.

Maja’s mood in the past few days has improved drastically. I’m probably going to jinx myself, but we haven’t had a temper tantrum in almost 5 days. I’ve got a new morning routine with her: take of pjs, change diaper, and get dressed BEFORE she’s finished her morning milk. Before she can start to protest, and before she has had a chance to fully wakeup. I think I was giving her too much leeway, too many choices: Maja shall we get dressed? Answer: no! What pants do you want to wear to wear? She’d pick 3 prs and still not decide. I put an end to all that. Basta! (as my mother used to always say. No, she’s not Italian, so I don’t know where that came from, but it was a favourite phrase of hers. It’s seared into my childhood memories).
