clown bank

I can’t remember when I received this money bank… sometime in the late 1970s or early 1980s. This is another one of those childhood keepsakes which my mom unloaded on me. Before Mr. Clown made his arrival in Philly my mom spruced him up a little bit — a new red bow and a new flower in his hat!

  1. I love your old toys. This clown bank really brought a smile to my face. I don’t have any toys left from my childhood. I didn’t have many to start with and I was the oldest of six and so by the time things got passed down the line they were pretty well dust. So sad!

  2. It was a gift from your Grandmother – and she made sure, each of you received a wooden money bank. Annette: the mouse, Kirsten: the turtle – in turn, they will show up at their rightful owner ……
