one of those days

Do you ever have one of those days where there is soooo much that you want to do and say that it’s totally overwhelming and you end up saying nothing? I’m having one of those days.

I’m going to forge ahead and say everything via a list and then be done with it.

  1. Grandma Jane and Grandpa Tom came for a quick visit this weekend. It was lovely seeing them. The girls enjoyed spending Monday with them. We went to the zoo.

  2. I really want to take a vacation to Spain. I’ve been researching it. Anyone want to come with? Has anyone been and have any good recommendations? I’m thinking Granada…
  3. Last night was one of the rare evenings when Richard has a meeting and isn’t home to help me put the girls to bed. I was dreading it, but it turned out to be a completely painless process. No tears were shed. Maja was in a really good mood and we even were able to walk Emerson. This is not to say that I would like this to be a regular thing.
  4. Madeleine has been sleeping well, usually about 8 consecutive hrs a night. We’re still putting her in the swaddle… although I think it’s time we stopped that.
  5. I need to knit for a certain baby that is going to make an appearance in 3 weeks (give or take). The fact that I have not picked up my needles yet for this young one makes me a Very Bad Friend. Oh wait, I haven’t even knit for my own child… does that make me a Very Bad Mother?
  6. I would like to be independently wealthy.
  7. I want to do my Christmas shopping.
  8. I wish I had a crystal ball.
  9. I wish my Roomba was working. Stupid battery.

  1. I had a wonderful time (10 days or so?) in Granada, way back in 1997. Go there! It’s beautiful and interesting!

I have no practical advice to offer because I was camping the entire time I stayed there, but I would go back again in an instant.

  2. You could never be considered a Very Bad Friend (nor a Very Bad Mother)! Especially not after a certain ~32 h trip to Canada, with a 3mth old in tow, to give this friend a baby shower. I am forever grateful.
