update on Bobby

Filed under: musings — freeformkatia @ 9:15 am

Well, it seems that “Bobby” isn’t really a Bobby, but a Joey.

If you remember, a few weeks back I posted a picture of Maja with Bobby. Lynette then commented that she thought the doll was Bradley. And last night another friend also saw the doll and immediately said “Is that Joey?!?”

Turns out, Bobby is a Joey. Our “Bobby/Joey” has the jacket with the yellow sleeves.

I also owned Mandy, and my sister Annette had Jenny. I wonder if these two dolls are still living in my parent’s attic?

  1. Yay yay yay! I knew “bobby” wasn’t right, thought “bradley” probably wasn’t either… but couldn’t find out the answer!! We only had Joey, and it was probably mine, then Cam’s then Matt’s, etc. A friend of mind has the Fisher Price red record player that plays 6 plastic records that come with it– do you remember that?

  2. Yeah, I think we had the record player… I remember the “where oh where has my little dog gone” song…

  4. Actually, Mandy is the blonde and Jenny the brunette. I’ll definitely take Mandy, since she was ‘mine’; if Nan and Kir don’t object then I can take Jenny and Karen too.
