i have not been idle

Filed under: musings — freeformkatia @ 8:23 am

I know, many of you would laugh at the idea of me being idle.

Last night Richard, Maja and I drove up to the Chestnut Hill section of the city to look at/buy some shoes for Maja. I found them on Craigslist, and thought it couldn’t hurt to go see the shoes… the price was right. In the end we got 7 pairs of shoes for… $25. Of the 7 pairs, 4 are Stride Rite brand and 1 is Elefanten. In total I think I picked up about $300 worth of shoes FOR $25. Score! Mind you, the shoes are not totally new, but they are definitely far from being ‘worn out’.

Despite forgetting her milk at home, Maja made the trip without a break-down — considering it happened right around her bedtime I consider this a miracle.

I spent the remainder of the evening making a sponge cake for Easter Sunday and painting some Easter eggs. Neither of these projects is complete… and I don’t have a lot of time to finish them, unless I get to them after the evening activities scheduled for the next 3 evenings.

I’m feeling a bit tired today as I woke up at 3:30am and never got back to sleep. ugh. Baby #2 was really active last night and managed to keep me awake!

I hit 24 weeks yesterday. I definitely have a bigger belly than I did 2 weeks ago.

  1. Maja might just have been introduced to the ‘Emelda Marcos Syndrome’Ha, ha.
    Anyway, the thriftiness is amazing.
And you can still get ‘Elefanten’ shoes?! Good quality!
    Love, Mom
