ditdit tree

On Saturday evening Maja, Richard and I went to South Philly to get our Christmas tree. This is a real Philly experience — driving into a little neighbourhood and all of a sudden being surrounded by a pine forest at the corner of 10th and McKeen. AND we bought our tree from a guy named Rocky. Yo!

It’s a beautiful tree, and Maja was fascinated by it on Saturday evening — she calls it our Ditdit Tree. We decorated it Sunday evening and tonight we’ll take our annual Christmas photo.

Here it is with Maja on Saturday:

  2. Now, THERE’s a tree. We actually brought home a fake tree (bad idea, I entirely blame Evan) and it was so awful we packed it back up. Now we have a lovely Douglas Fir, which at our house is the “Mit Mit Tree.” For future reference, don’t let Jewish guys who don’t know anything about xmas trees convince you a fake one will work! Moreover, when you live in the state that exports more xmas trees to the rest of the US than anywhere else, you owe it to yourself to partake!
