rrrrrroomba

Filed under: house — freeformkatia @ 8:27 am

I finally wore Richard down and we bought a Roomba on Sunday @ BJs. I blame Yoko for planting this idea in my head. I’m weak. I’m easily swayed.

We brought it home, plugged it in, and let it charge for the initial 16 hr charge (subsequent charges are 3hrs long)! Which brings us to 6am on Monday morning. I got up, got dressed, and went downstairs to roomba (now, a verb). I only had it down on the floor for 20 min. — and was fascinated by it. It actually worked — and picked up dirt I would never have seen. Woot woot woot.

It’s quieter than my big vacuum. I don’t have to lug it around, it does a more thorough job, it goes under the sofa (Katia doesn’t go there). And, let’s face it: I hate vacuuming. Hate it. I also hate sweeping.

Conclusion: I am well on my way to MULTI-TASKING DOMINATION. Now, if only I could get a machine to clean the toilet…

  1. Now you’re talking business. I am so getting one. I love my central vac but if it gets done while I’m at work then all the better. Please pass on the model/make etc.

  2. Hey — I just inserted a link from the Roomba picture to their website.
You could probably get it at CdnTire or Sears or Costco…

  3. Thank you for testing it out for me. (hee!) I think we’ll need to get one for our house now!
