I like Marianne's comment!
I got sick just after arrival in Utah and felt so guilty (as if I could help it!). And my cousin (mom of 4!) helped look after my boys and luckily it was over quick. But I totally hear you on hating getting sick. Esp. the time Evan and I were sick at the same time. And esp. the time I was sick on Mothers' Day last year and had to alternate barfing with breastfeeding. Glad you are well now though!! Happy Mothers' Day!!!!

I meant take care of you because if you don't take care of you you can't take care of the ones you love. Hope that makes more sense.

Katia...you are the strong one that I know. You are allowed to be sick, you are allowed to be run down, you are allowed to be human. We all want to be super woman but life keeps reminding us..we're not. I admire you for all you you do. Keep your chin up because it does get better the older the kids are.

Love ya lots, take of you because if you don't you can't take care of the ones you love.

Listen, sugarpuss, don't underrate the chance that your Freight Train was your body generally saying "I'm exhausted. Yup, all done; spent; nothing left. Nada. Zip. Zero." Glad it was able to put you back today, but in the name of Older Mommies, I urge you to consider that you've been doing so much for everyone (note last week's cranky mood as an additional indicator of fatigue and expenditure of spirit), even if some is supposed to be for you.

I'm a big supporter of simply Not Doing. Passive Parenthood. Wherever possible. It's way, way out of fashion - so call it, Letting the Children Develop Independence. Harder in the toddler years, but that's why God invented DVDs. So you can do less! Hope you can find a way.

And yes, thank Heaven for that Other Parent, especially a cutie like yours (or mine, come to that...)
