No, we didn’t go to church. Richard DID take Maja to the zoo, though. And the Easter Bunny was there. :) Does that count?
The weekend was very busy. Let’s back up to Saturday:
Madeleine came down with a nasty nasty cold, the kind where when she sneezed there were two walrus tusks of snot coming out of her nose and hanging down to her chin. Lovely. She spent a lot of time screaming and crying… poor thing. It got so bad that by Saturday afternoon I dosed her with Tylenol. I probably should have dosed the entire family so that everyone was equally medicated. Next time.
Saturday afternoon and evening was spent in the company of good friends and good food. Richard grilled some AMAZING lamb chops on the bbq — mmmmm. All was good.
The bunny was quite generous and in addition to some chocolate & other treats, also brought Maja some toothbrushes, some toothpaste and a disposable camera. She really enjoyed ‘hunting’ for the eggs.
In the afternoon, after the zoo outing that I skipped, we had our annual block Easter Egg hunt. We had a good turnout and all the kids had a blast.
You can’t tell in this photo, but both my kids were crying. sigh.
